Colloquium Industrie 4.0

Colloquium "A new security culture for Industrie 4.0"

In the colloquium "A new security culture for Industrie 4.0", experts from Engineering, Informatics, Law and Politics give insight into a topic currently highly debated in the German press called "Industrie 4.0" (Industry 4.0).  This ambitious project aims for nothing less than a "fourth industrial revolution", or more concretely, a stronger computerization of the classical industries, for instance production and  automation. It is strongly related to the notion of the Industrial Internet.

Such a broad and profound technological change has implications on social, juridical and political issues. Furthermore, information security becomes a central topic, as computer systems become more deeply embedded, more widely distributed and more thoroughly inter-connected.  During the course of this colloquium, all these aspects will be discussed by a number of lecturers from many points of views, with a strong focus on the perspective of the industry, as the focal point of this endeavor. A panel discussion with renowned representatives from politics, industry and research will conclude the lecture.
